——- ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Charles Kirby, SindyXR Founder made himself patient zero. His endocrinologist diagnosed him with obesity with a high risk of diabetes along with fatty liver. As a New York City resident he is often isolated in his apartment due to joint pain and His exercise choices are limited to swimming which he is able to do 100 days a year but obviously that is not enough to keep up with his insulin and metabolic issues. He is also under psychiatric care for bi-polar 2, his GP treats him for peripheral neuropathy (numbness on the bottoms of his feet) and gout. He knows the complexity of this kind of a dynamic problem and has integrated tools to promote heart health and prevent cardiac disease.
I went to fat camp in 4th AND 8th grade. Being meta-bolically challenged is a given for me so using the “meta”verse to take the weight off again has to be either funny or tragic.

——- MEASURABLE OUTCOME
When I wrote my second book about how Spatial Computing (now known as “Web3”) would change MeetUPs, I had no clue that my struggles to maintain my weight loss would be the first market to adopt my apps but I guess there is a G_d (Read my blog post here). Now I measure everything from my gaze throughout appointments to my satisfaction with my performance at Board presentations and I can organize all that data to how it relates to my heart health.
Games are the secret sauce
I consider games important and fun simultaneously; everything is a game to me with no derogatory connotation. The difference between the games and other carb tracking apps is that Check Yo Self! correlates how I FEEL, my STRESS and impression of my body image at that moment around every food choice I make throughout the day, especially when I choose not to eat.
——- The IMPACT
I have lost over 12% of my weight, lowered my A1c and raised my testosterone (or at least my girlfriend thinks I have!). My physicians all meet with me in Virtual Reality where my dedicated space in the metaverse is filled with data. Recent labs, inspirational videos from my psychiatrist and immersive 360 experiences from my cardio trainer that I can share with each of my medical team as they come to me where I own my medical data.
Richer Virtual Collaboration
I have built a few games to accomplish this. They all keep score with a gamified GEM structure of leveling up throughout the process. EVERYONE I work with, from medical teams to corporate and basketball teams, have a clear picture of their performance as we progress and Management has more granular data to track in their assessments.
